Welcome to Rising High in Suffolk

Rising High was born out of a shared vision to increase opportunities for young people to work in the public sector in Suffolk. This website - designed for young people, by young people - brings together a collection of organisations from across the public sector creating opportunities for young people to develop their skills and to grow their future career prospects through one of our many exciting opportunities.

Whether you are a graduate, university student or still in secondary school, we provide opportunities for you to work within public sector organisations across the county: including Suffolk County Council, West Suffolk Council, East Suffolk Council, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils, Suffolk Schools and Suffolk Police.

On this site, you will find information about all of our programmes, including 12-week summer internships, year-long industrial placements (which students may take as part of a Year in Industry), apprenticeships, work experience, graduate opportunities within Suffolk schools and a 2-year graduate programme within local government.
