Building Better Opportunities Project - Minding the Gap

Reach your potential helping others to reach theirs!

Lapwing Education supports young people facing exclusion from school, college or society generally. We offer personalised services including therapeutic interventions, personal development coaching, academic qualifications, vocational training, employability skills development and experiences of work to help young people get back on track.

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated key worker to join our established project team and contribute to Lapwing’s delivery of the Minding The Gap employability project within north Suffolk. The project is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and National Lottery Community Fund.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join this well-established project (now in its fourth year) which is transforming the lives of hundreds of NEET young people aged 16-24 years old who face social isolation and other significant barriers to employment.

To be successful in this role, you will have the necessary skills and experience to work with and support young people with additional needs to move back towards re-engaging with education or employment. You will have excellent youth engagement skills and plenty of initiative enabling you to work individually and as part of a wider team that covers north, south and east Suffolk. Links to and an understanding of the local education, training, employment and youth support landscape would be beneficial.

For an informal chat about the role call Dionne Walton, Project Manager, on 07824 618752 or to apply please download an application pack from our website: lapwingeducation.co.uk/join-us

Completed applications should be sent to: dwalton@lapwingeducation.com

Please note application forms must be completed in full and CVs will not be considered.

Appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Lapwing is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
