Suffolk needs someone with ambition, drive and tenacity to deliver this piece of major infrastructure that will significantly benefit Lowestoft.

Could this be you?

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Major Projects and Planning, this newly created role will lead the project team, support elected members and Senior Leadership, as Project Director for this iconic new bridge.

We are looking for someone with proven experience of balancing strategic leadership with operational delivery to join our team. This role is unique and requires a highly skilled leader who can maximise the impact of our strong working relationships and joint vision across a range of partners, to deliver this project.

You will be an experienced Senior Project Leader who is politically and commercially astute and able to deliver our vision to make Suffolk an even greater place to live, work and visit.

This organisation positively encourages the use of technology to communicate and engage, but in this role you will need to operate across a wide and rural area, so you must either hold a full and current driving licence and have access to personal transport or meet the mobility requirements of the role through other reasonable and suitable means.

For an informal discussion only, please contact Mark Ash, Executive Director of Growth, Highways and Infrastructure at email: mark.ash@suffolk.gov.uk

Interviews are planned for w/c 31 August 2020.

Please read the Job and Person Profile and the Recruitment brochure before applying for this job.

Appointment to this role is subject to Cabinet approval on 25th August 2020.

This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts. We are also committed to flexible working. For the types of flexible or part time working available for specific roles, please see the Job and Person Profile. Suffolk County Council - welcoming diversity.
