The Shared Revenues Partnership (SRP) is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our busy Benefits Team, calculating Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction claims.

SRP processes claims for Ipswich Borough Council, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils.

Day to day

Reporting to the Benefits Team Leader you will be required to assess and calculate Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction. You will be responsible for ensuring that they are paid promptly in accordance with legislation and office procedures.

You will calculate overpayments of Housing Benefit and ensure that they are coded correctly for subsidy purposes. You will also calculate adjustments to awards of Council Tax Reduction.

About you

You should have up to date experience and knowledge of Benefit Regulations and Legislation. You should be an effective team player with good communication skills as well as having previous experience of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
