Fixed Term/Secondment (6 months)

£20,903 pro rata for part time

We are open to supporting flexible working options.

This is an exciting opportunity for creative and motivated individuals to join a Contract and Service Development Team to ensure quality services for the people of Suffolk.

The posts are all in the Strategic Planning and Resources (SPAR) team. The focus of this team will be to ensure that we have in place a consistent and responsive service for the care market. You will be part of a wide team and will contribute to ensuring consistent quality and safe services are being delivered to our service users. Working in partnership with all sectors of the care market and key stakeholders, you will be expected to take an inclusive and flexible approach.

You will:

  • be part of the team that is helping to steer our approach to the care market
  • liaise with a care market that includes home care, residential and nursing care, extra care housing and day services
  • develop positive working relationships with providers
  • work in partnership across Suffolk County Council, and with key stakeholders such as the CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group)

We are looking for people who have a passion for improving the lives of people who access our services. People who are passionate about delivering services with an emphasis on responsibility, community and health relationships, and the growth for the people we support.

We are committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of our service users, and we are looking for people who demonstrate self-confidence and perspective to be able facilitate open and honest relationships with the internal and external partners, in order to discuss and remove barriers to the effective delivery of services.

This role will be working on our SPAR Homecare & Housing Team and is a 6 month fixed term contract or a secondment.

This organisation positively encourages the use of technology to communicate and engage, but on occasions there may be a requirement for you to travel using reasonable and suitable means available to you and agreed by the authority.

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, we have strict limitations on staff working in our offices and most of us are being asked to work from home.  If you wish to discuss how that might impact your working arrangements, please contact the recruiting manager listed at the bottom of this advert.

If you are considering applying for a secondment, please read the secondment policy and ensure you have sought permission to apply before completing your application.

For an informal discussion, please contact Marie Grace on 07894 599092.

Interview date: 5 March 2021.
