We are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to work in our provisions for pupils with more challenging behaviours.
We have an approach based upon SCERTS that uses a therapeutic approach to teaching children to self-regulate themselves. Pupils can display significant levels of challenging behaviour and we use a very intensive support programme to develop alternative communication strategies to reduce those behaviours that restrict their social interaction.
As part of a team, you will need to be enthusiastic, creative as well as resilient with a significant sense of fun. Play is an important part of the therapeutic approach, the posts will based around the nurture pathway element of our curriculum.
Please visit the Riverwalk website: www.riverwalk.org.uk for more information and follow the links for access to our application form, job description and privacy notice concerning job applicants.
